Photography has always been a passion of mine. Two classes at UC Berkeley changed my life--one taught by John Wheatman of Cole-Wheatman Interior Design and the other by Murray Silverstein, an architect and one of the authors of The Pattern Language books. When I resumed my studies at Art Center College of Design I was focused on photographing architecture and interiors.

While I was born in San Francisco and grew up on the Peninsula, Los Angeles has been my home for thirty years, currently living in the Hollywood Hills. I have a BFA from Art Center and have been teaching architectural photography there one day a week since 1986.

I was an early photoshop user and have embraced digital capture; but have not abandoned film and the 4x5 view camera. A decision whether to use film or go digital is based upon your needs and the type of project.
